On April 23, 2024, Lakas Bayanihan Multipurpose Cooperative had the distinct honor of conducting a courtesy call with Admiral Ronnie Gil Gavan, the Coast Guard Chief, at the Coast Guard Headquarters in Port Area, Manila. This significant meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen the ties between the cooperative and the Philippine Coast Guard, while discussing ongoing initiatives that benefit the cooperative’s members.

The delegation, led by Chairman Jaime Delos Santos and OIC Ma Nevelyn Custodio, with Lakas Bayanihan team member Rose Cruz, expressed their sincere appreciation for Admiral Gavan’s warm reception and insightful leadership. The discussion focused on the benefits of cooperative membership, particularly the introduction of financial literacy programs aimed at supporting the Coast Guard personnel.

As a token of gratitude for Admiral Gavan’s leadership and his ongoing support for collaboration, Lakas Bayanihan presented him with two gifts: a signed copy of book “Command Leadership”, authored by Chairman Jaime Delos Santos, and five shares from the cooperative. These gifts were symbolic of the appreciation the cooperative holds for Admiral Gavan’s efforts in advancing the shared mission of supporting and empowering communities.
